Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) begin global rollout in Google mobile search results

AMP are officially moving beyond the “Top Stories” section of Google mobile search. http://tgcafe.it/2d3ybSy

The Skinny:

☕ You’ll now see a gray 'AMP' label that indicates a page is AMP’d in Google's organic mobile search results.

☕ AMP pages won’t get a special boost in mobile results - this is NOT a rankings change.

☕ When there are two versions of a page, Google will prefer and link to the AMP version.

☕ There are now more than 600 million AMP-enabled documents, up from 150 million this summer.

☕ AMP categories now go well beyond news content - shopping, cooking, travel, e-commerce and entertainment, among others.
